Women Initiative for Development in Nigeria promotes women empowerment and development by enhancing their visibility, defending their values, exchanging knowledge. WiDev creates a platform for women’s creativity, innovation and pragmatic action to transform the society. A change in our attitude and behavior is all what every society needed to creating a sustainable environment.

What We Do

We give education, mentoring and networking, and support to women entrepreneurs in rural and urban Nigeria. Women are significant for economic development, but often encounter challenges in getting the resources they need to expand their businesses. We care about them and our communities. We offer programs and services that address the needs and problems of socioeconomically disadvantaged women and girls, preparing them for personal, professional, and financial stability.

Goal

To see that all girls and young women, regardless of ethnicity, income level or social status, are nutured and empowered to reach their fullest potential.
